Obama overlooks Clinton’s assassination slip up
Hillary Clinton must have felt like she needed some press when she referenced the assassination of Bobby Kennedy as a reason to stay in the race. It seems to me like something that was said to stir emotions but certainly not something that was intended to say the same could or should happen to Obama.
Obama spoke on the remark and came to the same conclusion. He said that as much as they have been on the road it is easy to see how she could make a mistake so he gave her the benefit of the doubt.
I for one am glad to see that there is someone in the political world that can use common sense when something like this happens. It does leave you to wonder thought if the Obama camp isn’t simply getting rid of this story because he has mounted a full offensive against McCain. It would seem in the past couple of weeks that nobody is paying attention the the Clinton campaign.
It would be interesting to know how Hillary would have handled a similar situation, I have a feeling it wouldn’t have been the same.
