Oklahoma tornado caught on tape and broadcasted live

People try to capture mother nature by video and picture every day. Tornadoes are some of the most chilling footage because they are so random. We can predict favorable conditions for tornadic activity, but even when they are on the ground we cannot predict what they are going to do.

That is what made watching CNN yesterday so chilling when they were showing live feed of a tornado in Oklahoma. Viewers were able to watch live in real time a tornado rip a hog farm to shreds. Remarkably the family and the livestock were left unhurt but the structures were a total loss.

People who tuned in will not soon forget the feeling they got watching a family loose everything they had. It is important to highlight here that the family did the right thing by getting in a storm shelter with a weather radio rather than try to wait it out or watch what happened. If they hadn’t moved to the shelter when they did we may be writing a very different story.
