As real estate hits bottom the only place to go is up

Get ready for a real estate reboundDid you know that it is a buyer’s market? I am sure you did because that is all that you seem to be able to hear about real estate these days. You can talk to someone who has no interest what so ever in real estate and their advice? Well it is a buyer’s market.

While it is true that we are in a buyer’s market there are a few things I would like to point out if you are buying or selling a home right now. First for buyers, if you are walking into a home thinking that you will get a 20% reduction from the asking price you might as well not be looking. In a buyer’s market the buyer has more power than the seller but in many cases the seller has gone down as far as they are willing or able to go. Now for the sellers, don’t panic. The rates are low and with all of the buyers out there that are looking to take advantage of a buyer’s market give you a great outlook. Just remember be fair in your pricing and flexible on any repairs that may need to be done.

This article by homes101.net explains that although it isn’t time for a 2003 goldrush repeat, the indications are that we are at the bottom of a three year correction. It appears the housing market will get better and better throughout the year which will ultimately help the economy get better and better.

Don’t forget that real estate is a huge part of our economy and our quality of life. It is believed that if you fix the real estate problem the economy will follow.
