Get out and vote - now.
Listen - I am sure you don’t need to hear again that you should get out and vote. After all you have been bombarded with that message for months now. Unfortunately many of you out there are still not going to vote.
I have a bit of an odd take on voting in this country. Do I think your vote makes a difference? Probably not. National elections are won and lost by hundreds of thousands if not millions of votes. Of course if a hundred thousand of you out there decide not to vote you could have changed the outcome but I digress. I also believe that voting is one of the biggest scams we have ever allowed our government to pull off.
You wade through all of the PACs, the pundants, the candidates, your friends, and everything else only to be completely lied to. At the beginning of a campaign everything you hear will be forgotten by the end. Politicians will tell you anything to get that power. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, period. Not only are we wholesale lied to with each and every speech, but what about the lone wolf fraud.
Your favorite candidate has no idea what their thousands of staffers or volunteers are doing. After all it is hard to keep tabs on that many people. If a die hard fan decided to commit fraud for example it isn’t like the candidate is to blame right? Wrong. Flat out the most corrupt thing we have allowed to happen since taxation without representation in the colonial days.
How about the money spent too? If you added up all of the money spent by both parties on this presidential election you would near 2 billion dollars (in fact it could be more than that correct me in the comments if you have a real number). I am not choosing sides on this site and I am not going to tell you who I voted for because you need to make your own mind up. I am going to point out while I am talking money however that Obama is spending $150 million a month to run for president. McCain would gladly do so too if he could get his hands on that kind of money. But should an election really be won or lost because you have more money? Is that what it comes down to?
After all of that why am I saying to go vote? It is simple. It is the symbol of what we are and what we do in the USA. For all of the faults I would not change my country for anything. We have the best country and the best government I don’t care what anyone says and I don’t care that the election is rigged. If you are a proud American as I am you will go and attempt to make your voice heard. If not to elect who you want but to be in line at the polls to show the government who they work for. These people lose site of the fact that we pay for them, they are to fear us not the other way around. We need to take back our country from the fraud but I fear it is too wide spread. The only thing left for us to do is to vote. Keep the tradition alive.
I am Joe, I own this site and I approve this message.
